ABC's new comedy series, Black-ish, features veteran actors Laurence Fishburne, Anthony Anderson and Tracee Ellis Ross as members of the Johnson Family; they and their four precocious children go through the growing pains of navigating work, school and home life like many traditional sitcom families. However, Black-ish departs from these classic tropes by offering us social commentary in the form of awkward, provocative and often brilliant humor. USA Today procalims the show has the potential to "change the television landscape." Already picked up for a full season, the comedy will have sufficient time to prove them right.
