The county tax assessor may be the most underrated elected official in government. This should not be the case, however, especially in Los Angeles County - the country’s largest county by population. The Los Angeles County Assessor is very important because of the number of people and the amount of property in the county.

The current current assessor is John Noguez, but he is currently on leave because he is charged with corruption. This election will decide who replaces Noguez and who will be responsible for repairing the image problem associated with the office.

Morris is a head deputy district attorney who says he has a real estate background. On day one, if elected, he plans to put certain rules into place regarding corruption.
