Myah Williams

Originally from North Little Rock, Arkansas, Myah attended New York University's Tisch School of the Arts as a Martin Luther King Jr. Scholar where she earned a BA in Cinema Studies and Film and TV Producing. Her research centered on film history, theory and aesthetics in reference to domestic and international cinema. While studying in New York, Myah interned in music publicity, film sales, marketing, and distribution. Upon graduating she was hired to work in Operations and Publicity at Focus Features, the art house film production company and subsidiary of Universal Pictures in Los Angeles. In July 2014, Myah entered the Specialized Journalism for the Arts Masters Program at Annenberg. Her interests are racial representation in media and entertainment and the role of arts and culture in society. Follow her on twitter here.
