People around Chinatown are angry about a proposed stadium at the Los Angeles State Historic Park.

The Los Angeles Department of Parks and Recreation has proposed the construction of a 25,000-person concert event space to cover the cost of an $18-million dollar renovation.

Organizers from the Save The Cornfield Coalition protest the proposal and believe the stadium would increase noise pollution, violate bird nesting areas and disturb the grounds historical roots.

The park has been used for rock concerts like the FYF Festival and Hard Summer, which can attract more than 70,000 people.

The Coalition's protest is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. tonight at the Goodwill Industries on San Fernando Road in Los Angeles.
