Preparing for Ebola in L.A. County and California

California and Los Angeles County Department of Public Health officials held separate news conferences today to update the public on what they are doing to prepare for Ebola.

County officials said they are ensuring all hospitals train their staff to use protective equipment properly.

State officials said their Los Angeles lab is now capable of testing for Ebola. So far two people have tested negative for the disease, one in Los Angeles County and another in Sacramento County.
