Mayor Eric Garcetti and the rest of the Metro Board of Directors approved a pilot program to help fund small "mom and pop" shops in the Crenshaw Cooridor.

The pilot program will fund up to 60 percent of potential revenue loss, as long as the business can show the loss comes from the construction. Many small businesses in the corridor, including those who have been in the community for years, are struggling because of the Crenshaw Line construction.

During the open board meeting, many Board members voiced their support for the plan, saying it will help businesses survive.
