The Blue Ribbon Commission on Child Safety presented its key findings to the L.A. County Board of Supervisors Tuesday morning.
Some of the recommendations included the creation of an Office of Child Protection, decreasing case loads for social workers, and increasing support for children placed with family members.
The commission was created last year to investigate the Department of Child and Family Services, in connection with the death of 8-year-old Gabriel Fernandez.
