UCLA "Slangman" coaches ESL students

David Burke, an author of dozens of books on American idiomatic usage, held a workshop today as part of UCLA's American Language Center. His goal? Teaching those learning English another side to the language that often gets overlooked: slang. As host of an international children's TV show, Burke has rechristened himself "Slangman," with the mission of helping ESL learners assimilate through their understanding of one of the trickier nuances of the language.
