LAUSD cancels contract with Apple, FBI seizes documents

Superintendent Ramon Cortines cancelled the LAUSD contract with Apple for iPads this morning, following the FBI seizure of 20 boxes of documents relating to the case. According to the LA Times, Cortines says the decision to cancel the contract is not based on the sudden FBI involvement in the case. While former superintendent John Deasy resigned in October, the contract had not been cancelled at the time of his departure. Professor Laurie Levenson from the Loyola Law School answers our questions about this new turn in the case.
