The Los Angeles Country Museum of Art announced their biggest acquisition yet: the donation of Jerrold Perenchio’s private collection, valued at over $500 million dollars.

Perenchio’s generous gift follows the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors' decision to invest $125 million of county money into LACMA’s latest building initiative: a new museum designed by Swiss architect Peter Zumthor.
