The Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences, in conjunction with the Victoria and Albert Museum, London, recently opened the Hollywood Costume exhibit. The exhibit was originally curated for the Victoria and Albert Museum in London, but it has since transferred to Hollywood. It is housed in the historic Wilshire May Company building, the future home of the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures.

The Academy has extensively expanded the exhibition from its 2012 London showing, using costumes and material from their collections and including outfits from films released since its first showing. The exhibit is just a taste of what the planned Academy Museum will have to offer when it opens in a few years.

The exhibit was curated by Deborah Nadoolman Landis, an Academy Award-nominated costume designer and founding director of UCLA's David L. Copley Center for the Study of Costume Design.

The exhibit runs through March 2nd. For tickets and more information, visit: http://www.oscars.org/hollywoodcostume/
