Over 1,700 men and women with HIV/AIDS rely on Long Beach’s St. Mary Medical Center for health services every year.  And at one point every year, restaurants and businesses in Long Beach pull together to help raise money for the hospital.

The event is called CARE to Dine and this year 19 local eateries donated 20 percent of their proceeds to The Comprehensive AIDS Resource and Education (CARE) Program.  The event was created in 2008 to highlight the comprehensive services offered in Long Beach.
