In celebration of May Day this year, over forty organizations gathered in Chinatown to support workers rights and advocate for wage increases. The workers began their day by going to the management of the Burger King and Walmart on Cesar Chavez avenue and and demanding wage increases.

Following this, they marched down to Chinatown where there was a massive rally with thousands of people and groups, representing such diverse causes as gay marriage, women's rights, and environmental protection.
