Militarization displaces indigenous peoples in the Philippines

More than one thousand people from the Manobo group, an indigenous group in the Philippines, have been displaced from their homeland due to militarization of the region in southern Mindanao. In response, human rights activists in southern california are hosting an international forum in Los Angeles on Tuesday night at the Rosewood United Methodist Church.
