Protestors lined the streets outside the downtown headquarters of the Los Angeles Unified School District on Tuesday, calling for a change to the district's budget.

According to the protestors, schools in low-income neighborhoods and with more English-second-language students are being underfunded.

LAUSD boardmembers claim the budget focuses on helping these schools, but the protestors claim it isn't enough.

To help boardmembers better understand the issues at their schools, protestors called for a student representative on the board.
