A conversation with NSA whistleblower Thomas Drake

Thomas Drake is a former emplyee of the National Security Agency who attempted to report the wrongdoings he witnessed within the agency. When his superiors failed to do anything about his concerns, Drake revealed unclassified information to a reporter at the Baltimore Sun as a means of whistleblowing. He was later fired from the NSA and charged under 10 separate counts including five under the Espionage Act of 1917. Those chargers would later be dropped. Drake is speaking at USC's Annenberg Auditorium to discuss whistleblowing and journalism in this National Secuirty era. He will be on a panel with Daniel Ellsberg, the first person in American history to be indicted for Espionage and Jasselyn Radack, Edward Snowden's attorney.
