Conserving water in Los Angeles

While many Angelenos thought it was the apocalypse during the week-long rain in Southern California, the city was able to conserve 87 million gallons of water simply by turning off the sprinklers. While this may seem like a lot, it is only 20 percent of the amount of water we use every day. City council members explain they are exploring other ways to conserve water, especially in landscaping.
