The 405 Freeway through the Sepulveda pass closure deemed “Jamzilla” ended early Tuesday morning. Metro spokesperson Paul Gonzales shared that despite slight delays on Monday the anticipated traffic jams over Presidents Day Weekend went better than expected. “Jamzilla ended as a complete success for the construction crews, for Caltrans and for Metro,” said Gonzales. The construction crew, who worked on a 5.6 mile segment along the freeway, successfully moved a center divider in order to make room for a carpool lane. Gonzales also said that construction along the southbound side of the 405 Freeway has been scheduled to take place within the coming months.
