Today the Connected Car Expo kicked off the 2013 L.A. Auto Show. The connected car space is the digital relationship between drivers and their vehicles linked through their smartphones.

Walter Faller, the VP of M2M Communications for Sprint, was there to showcase the Sprint Velocity platform. A service for automakers designed to connect consumers and their cars.

Ben Smith, a marketing specialist for Airbiquity explains their company creates a smooth connection between the smartphone and car with cloud computing.

Many other companies were offering similar services

Though some cars already offer connected car space capabilities, automotive companies are continuing to further the technological advances within their vehicles to better customize the driving experience.
