Coaches march at MacArthur Park to promote sports awareness

More than a hundred coaches from across the country came together in MacArthur Park on October 1st, walking through the neighborhood to promote Up2Us, a New York-based organization seeking to increase youth activity in sports. The offshoot program responsible for the event, Coach Across America, is committed to helping coaches more effectively communicate the value of sports to the kids under their wing.

The hot sun didn't detour these coaches from touting their cause, and it didn't stop ARN from reporting either. While walking through MacArthur Park and up Wilshire, we talked with some of the people involved in making the day's event possible.
