LA city to consider appeal state regulations on rideshare apps

Los Angeles city council has until tomorrow to appeal state regulations on popular "ride-share" apps. Since last year, smart phone applications like Lyft and Uber have gained huge popularity. They link the passengers with the nearest drivers and charge a reasonable fee for the ride. California approved regulations for ridehsaring services last month, being the first in the nation to do so. But some people express concerns over safety.
