Governor Jerry Brown signed a bill into law allowing undocumented immigrants to apply for driver's licenses in California. Surrounded by supporters of the law and city officials on the front steps of city hall, Governor Brown was joined by Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti and Councilmember Gilberto Cedillo, the author of the bill.

Starting January 2015, undocumented immigrants will be allowed to obtain specially marked driver's licenses. Supporters are happy about the passing of AB 60, but still hope for more advanced and nationwide immigration reform.
