Ashley is thrilled to be a part of ARN this semester!  As a freshman who will primarily be studying Broadcast Journalism at the Annenberg School of Communication and Journalism, she is excited to gain early exposure to the field through different mediums such as radio news.  Ashley was born in Los Angeles and grew up in the Westside area.  She has participated in numerous activities throughout her life including piano, club swim and club water polo, as well as various leadership activities; in high school, she pioneered a club that partners with the SoCal Special Olympics and also captained the swim and water polo teams.  Although she has declared broadcast journalism as her major, she would nonetheless like to explore other forms of media communication (marketing, PR, etc.) as well as business; as of now, she is particularly interested in investigative journalism.  In her spare time, Ashley enjoys playing and writing music, journaling, blogging, baking, planning events, yoga, and interior design.  Needless to say, she is very excited to embark on her journey here at Annenberg and see where it will take her.  Fight on!
