Combining spoken word, social media and modern dance, David Roussève's "Stardust" illustrates the coming of age of Junior – a gay African American urban teen – who corresponds only via anonymous text messages that he sends onto the Internet. Roussève, an award-winning choreographer, presented the multidisciplinary dance-theatre piece at California State University, Long Beach's Carpenter Performing Arts Center with his L.A.-based company, REALITY, on Sept. 27.

Roussève and REALITY's choreographic blend of technology and dance explores the digital world and the individual's role within it.
