The rise of online music distribution has inadvertently caused a resurgence in record sales, as collectors value both the unique physical medium of the record and the superior sound quality versus CDs.
This has lead to a comeback for record stores, but the path to recovery for the stores differ greatly based on where the stores are located.
We travel all across LA, from Sunset Boulevard in Echo Park, to South LA, to South Gate, and take a look at how the different record stores in different areas are adapting to survive and thrive.
