The building will also be taking the title as the tallest building west of the Mississippi. Once completed in the December of 2016, the new Wilshire Grand in Downtown Los Angeles will be 1,100 feet tall equipped with offices, retail space and a 900-room hotel. The tower will be the first to have a real "sky lobby," located on the 70th floor, said project spokesperson Sean Rossall.
