The Los Angeles Science Fiction and Comics convention is a down-to-earth operation. Attendees come dressed as everyday people, not towering robots, beefcake heroes or furry provocateurs. By skipping the spectacle that characterizes more famous geeky get-togethers, this conference has become a breeding ground for the subculture's real future.

Included in this piece are the voices of Hayden "The Geek Outlaw" Lawrence, Tracy "Hot Nerd Girl" Dearing, the staff of Scrooz Old School Toys in Hollywood, and Ben, an elementary schooler who likes looking at comics with his mom and dad.
