An attack in Iraq left Philip Schladweiler with life threatening injuries and a shrapnel. Instead of succumbing to the pit falls of war this veteran decided to use this destructive device as the inspiration behind his camera lens.

Today his journey of healing himself helps him heal others. His work will be featured in an art exhibit showcasing work from Iraq and Afghanistan war veterans.

Nine years Judith Broder she began the Soldier’s Project, a program with a small group of therapists that provides free unlimited psychotherapy to veterans and their families. The program has reached over 900 individuals, families, and children with offices in New York, Boston, Chicago, and others.
