Politicians gather to encourage investing in California

Many Californians aren't convinced that the state's economy is improving. But some California politicians and government officials are more optimistic. At the California Public Finance Conference in Downtown Los Angeles, hundreds of investors gathered to listen to panels about the future of the city. Irena Asmundson, chief economist for the California Departmetn of Finance spoke at the event, saying California's economy is well posiitoned for the future. Los Angeles City chief administrative officer, Miguel Santana said even though Los Angeles' economy still has its problems, the city is growing and developing quickly.
