Today's the opening day of the first ever Los Angeles Puppet Fest, sponsored by the L.A. Department of Cultural Affairs.  The festival has been in the works ever since a similar, smaller-scale event was organized last year.

Roberto Ferreira, co-founder of L.A.'s Puppet School, sat down with ARN to tell us what visitors can expect.

Most of the L.A. Puppet Fest will take place at the Skirball Center.  It will culminate at the Santa Monica promenade on April 28th, in what organizers hope to be the largest puppet parade in the history of the city.
