New USC President Max Nikias has a tall order ahead of him. He will not only be expected to lead a university that boasts 35,000 students and 14,000 employees to new heights, but will also be called upon to continue to reach out to the community outside USCs campus, the way Steven Sample did before him. Sample is widely respected for his role in shaping not just USC, but the local community as well.
