Two USC students were struck by a hit and run driver at 3 am on Sunday, March 29 at the intersection of Jefferson and Hoover. Freshman Adrianna Bachan was killed, while fellow freshman Marcus Garfinkle sustained serious injuries.

After hitting both Bachan and Garfinkle, the driver drove off with Garfinkle still on the hood of the vehicle. Witnesses say that after about 500 feet, the driver stopped so a passenger could get out and remove Garfinkle's body from the car's hood. The passenger got back in the car and fled the scene with the driver.
