Swine Flu is making its way into California. At last count there were 11 confirmed cases in the state. Today State Superintendent of Public Instruction Jack O'Connell held a news conference where he outlined how residents can keep themselves and their children safe from the virus. So far no California public school have been closed to prevent the spread of Swine Flu, though two private schools have shut their doors for the day.

-There are 6 million students attending California public schools.
-Only about half of all CA public schools have full-time school nurses.
