Sheriff's Department to Use Less Deadly Force

The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department is trying a new policy to deal with dangerous fleeing suspects--a policy that doesn't involve shooting at them. The department says it is addressing a problem that has long plagued deputies. Sheriff deputies have been accused of using excessive deadly force in recent years, which led to a review of the department's practices. Now, they've adopted a new policy that is supposed to prevent deadly violence. Ariel Edwards-Levy has more.
