Room 13 is an arts program that started in Fort William, Scotland. Now, middle schoolers at the Foshay Learning Center have the chance to participate in Room 13. The students are connected to artists in Scotland through the internet. The program forces the students to raise all their own funds to pay for a resident artist and art supplies. The initiative is a shining light in what has been a dismal year for arts education funding at LAUSD.
