Million word challenge

Los Angeles schools are hoping to promote literacy in school and in the home by challenging students to read a million words outside of school. Most reading happens at school but the LAUSD hopes that encouraging students to read outside of school will help foster a love of reading between children and their parents. Reporter Sonata Lee has the story.
