Mayor Villaraigosa met with the Los Angeles Chamber of Commerce Thursday in an attempt to ease concerns over proposed city layoffs. He explained that layoffs are necessary to solve the city's budget crisis and keep L.A. from falling into bankruptcy. Amina R. Karam has the story.
