LA County supervisor recommends instant runoff

The election to fill the 26th District State Senate seat was costly to taxpayers. Voters will have to return to the polls in May for the runoff election because no candidate won by a majority vote. Los Angeles County Supervisor Mark Ridley-Thomas recommends an alternative to a costly runoff.
