UCLA has decided to put a hold on plans to expand the UCLA Lab School to South Los Angeles and the Pico-Union district near Downtown. The experimental laboratory school was touted as an effort by the university to reach out to low-income communities through teacher training programs and innovative classroom curriculum. Tuesday host Pete Griffin talked with UCLA Lab School principal Jim Kennedy about the impact of the university’s decision to not expand the program into low-income communities.
