Thirty percent of all food grown in California goes to waste. In the Coachella Valley, where 8 out of 10 residents live in poverty, the amount of wasted food is even greater. Many are unable to adequately feed their families. At the same time, fresh produce dies on the vines around them. Tom Sparks talks to one organization that is trying to balance things out.
