Gang Crackdown Sweeps Through Los Angeles

Early this morning more than one thousand police officers and federal agents took down the rollin 40's gang. The crips related group was based in South Los Angeles. Police say they targeted the gang's shot-callers and arrested 29 members. While some gang members are still at large, Bratton says the streets are safer because of the operation. Bratton also thanked the FBI for its role in the year-long operation. The chief said when he first came to Los Angeles seven years ago, the LAPD was standoffish and had trouble working with other organizations. Now, with his term ending in 9 days, he believes that has changed.
