Governor Schwarzenegger held a news conference today in Sylmar declaring a state of emergency for L.A. and Ventura Counties. Mayor Villaraigosa and other local officials also spoke thanking the Governor for his quick response and the residents for their willingness to comply with mandatory evacuations.
