LA Unified School District Superintendent Ramon Cortines spoke Tuesday morning about how to make schools better during the financial crisis. LAUSD faces $640 million in budget cuts for next year as well as teacher lay-offs and more crowded classrooms. Michelle LaRue reports on his State of the District speech.
