Bus Riders Union proposes plan for $7.8 billion in Measure R funds

Over the next 30 years, the Metropolitan Transportation Authority will receive $7.8 billion dollars from Measure R funds to improve the county's bus system. The Bus Riders Union has proposed a plan for how the MTA should allocate those funds. The BRU wants lower bus fares, 500 more buses, and an expansion of the county's Bus-Only Lane system.
