Asian-Americans speak out against Proposition 8

Leaders in the Asian-American community rallied in downtown Los Angeles to voice their opposition against Proposition 8, which bans same-sex marriages in California. Politicians, community activists and actors voiced their concerns the proposition denies equality and justice, and assert Proposition 8 infringes on human rights and fosters hate. They compared the ban to laws in the past against inter-racial marriage, which hurt the Asian-American community.
