Although much has been said about the Israeli- Palestinian conflict in the media, few truly understand the religious, cultural, and historical basis for many of the issues that plague the region today. Dianne Winston's Reporting on Religion class at Annenberg seeks to change this. All semester, students in Winston's graduate course have examined religion's role in Israel and written stories on its influence in policy, conflict, and social issues. Their research was supplemented by a 10-day trip to Israel in March where they witnessed these stories first-hand.
Sharis Delgadillo and Andrew Khouri were two of the students on this trip to Israel. They sat down with ARN host Sarah Erickson to describe what they saw and gained from the experience.
