Ampersand: Episode 3

In Ampersand's third episode, we share the stories of people who chose to be bold. A survivor of Selma, Alabama’s Bloody Sunday marches for freedom. Middle Eastern artists subvert convention at LACMA. Classical musicians take their music into bars. A West Coast rapper resists conforming to a culture of violence. A boy from Arkansas defies gravity as a dancer in the City of Angels.

Featuring interviews with former Civil Rights foot soldier Linda Lowrey, LACMA curator Linda Komaroff, The Helix Collective, hip hop artist Hen Gee Garcia, and Diavolo dancer Cal Chester, this half-hour is about breaking barriers and defying norms.
