In attempt to cut costs, Walmart eliminated health insurance benefits for some part-time workers. About 30,000 employees who work less than 30 hours per week will have to purchase a new insurance plan. Premium health benefits offered through Walmart will increase by $3.50 per day for full time workers. The retail chain will implement changes in January 2015.
