Latino vote in midterm election will be swayed by party perception

With immigration reform on the backburner, the Democratic party may have less of an advantage among Latino voters. USC Assistant Professor of Political Science Morris Levy said the Latino vote will largely depend on party perception. The Democratic party is known by Latinos for its activist approach to government, said Levy. Meanwhile, many Latinos feel threatened by some Republicans' hard stance on immigration, according to Levy.
