Los Angeles' Historic Filipinotown recieved a new addition in the form of a concrete sign that carries the neighborhood's name.
Supporters gathered to watch the ribbon cutting by Councilman Mitch O'Farrell and Congressman Xavier Becerra, who spoke about the symbolic representation of the sign.
Many Filipino residents are proud to see the sign as well as the installation of new trash bins and trees that were placed along Temple Street.
Filipinotown is part of the 34th District in Los Angeles, Calif.
